I loved getting all your emails this week some of them even made me tear up (thanks for that dad) and i cant believe we are already here in November. Im sure your all so very worried about what to send the mexican child for christmas and well she told me she wants grandmas beef jerky like a pound of it if possible, and a christmas stocking of chocolate oranges and tasty american treats because the treats here all have chile. And her friend here says she wants treats too haha.
Things with my companion are amazing we are still in training for another 5 weeks and guess what not even once have we fought! And everytime i think that my constructive critizism might offend her or make her mad she always surprises me with agreeing and its so nice to just have a companion normal who just wants to work. This next part of her trianing im trying to prepare her to train and take the lead of the companionship so somedays out of the blew i role play with her and pretend im a new companion. And the first time she got lost for about an hour looking for a street and it was tough not to just tell her how to get there but eventually she found her way and is doing amazing. My companion alot of times doesnt realize that she can do things until they are put to the test and then she does them and its so awesome to see her personal progress in these past couple weeks.
For Halloween we were in charge of a ward party that we had the 31st and it was a big stressful day but turned out awesome we had a dance and food, a movie and coloring area for kids, face painting and carnival games and music and even though not everyone we thought would come came lots of people were there and had a good time celebrating dia de muertos and halloween. My companion and i dressed up as Morticia and i was a Peacock and we had a blast, then last night we went over to a members house and they invited us to go trick o treating and so we went and contacted lots of people and got lots of candy which was fun!
Also we moved finally!!!! so in our last house we were having lots of problems with our neighbor who sang very badly to her very loud music in the morning during our studies, and then we had a prostitution house behind ours that was super dangerous at night so we moved this week with a super cute family that lives above us and they are so quiet and nice and we just love this house! We have put 3 baptismal dates with a man named Oscar landin, a lady we found the other week Yolanda and another guy from this last week named Elvis. Oscar and yolanda are for the 14th of November and Elvis for December so we are super excited and pumped to be working here in the area.
Something i have learned is that Sometimes when life gives us the crickets and roaches on our plates we may think "no way can i handle this!" but if we never try them we may never know how tasty they could really be. I have learned if you just chew them little by little they taste better and are more enjoyable in the end. So when life gives you the plate of bugs eat up and learn to enjoy it! Come what may and love it! I know this is true!
Love you all
