Happy New Year everyone¡
I apologize for the upside down exclamation points but i can't find the real ones. Hope Everyone is having an awesome holiday and spreading love for everyone¡ For this last week we had a lot of Christmas cheer in our area and had a pretty great week that was so fast i can't remember very much of what happened. I also have the feeling that for the next year and a half it will be the same fast weeks. It was a little rough for appointment with the holidays and everyone spending time with family that we didn't visit with many people. However our awesome members shared christmas with us and made all sorts of gifts and treats and who knows what else¡ Seriously though we have so much sugar in our house that me and Hermana Quispe had to clear a drawer in the kitchen for the treats and we didn't have to go shopping for groceries because of all the left overs from the 5 dinners we had between the 24th and 25th haha. Mexico is super awesome though¡ its pretty cool that i can get a tan and still celebrate Christmas also the people are just super nice and welcoming. We go and ask people to share videos and cards with them and they all are like ya sure come in¡ whereas in America i think if i had some weird girls who didnt know what pants where and always wore their names on the chest and called everyone sister and brother all the time came up and asked to come into someone home and share a message around christmas time they would laugh and say we were crazy¡ Or just not even stop to let us talk to them.
Also the kids here are just adorable. Seriously every kid here is just so loving and accepting and happy its so weird¡ And even though i can't understand a thing they say or talk much with them they don't care they just still talk and share stories and hugs and love its so great. However we aren't allowed to hold kids or really play much with them and so its kind of sad to have to with hold that part of me so i have to stick with funny faces and hugs. Also we have this family alejandro and diego and they are awesome¡ They are members less active but are almost reactivated so that sweet, anyways they asked me what foods i liked and didn't like so they could cook for us today and i told them i didn't like chicharron con salsa verde the one food i wanted to throw up my first week, and now everytime they invite us over to eat they threaten me with saying they are making that dish and so im always fearful and hesitant to eat with them now haha. However usually they feed us tacos so thats always just super great. Also for the people in America.........You don't know what a real taco tastes like because taco bell is a lie. The tacos here are so good and tasty and just everything you ever dreamed of that i don't think i will ever be able to have american style tacos ever again.
We heart attacked Hermana Paolas door yesterday for the family and we haven't gone by to see if she received it yet but we had a lot of the members of the ward write messaged of hope and love and i hope it helps her and her family with the problems they have right now or at least shows them they are loved especially with the holidays. Hermana Quispe had never done anything like that before and so i have to keep explaining that its a secret act of service and that we aren't supposed to tell her that its us that put them there and that we can't call and mention it to her or anything and she is having a hard time accepting that so i have to continue to say no whenever she asks if we can go tell them haha. One day when i speak fluent spanish and she is fluent in english things will be so much easier i won't know what to do with myself haha.
Anyways i love you guys so much and am so grateful for all the love and support¡
