So today its actually really cold in Mexico! Like I have to wear a coat and tights outside and still freeze to death right now and that numb feeling when your hands and feet are freezing and you cant move them or use them without it hurting has hit my hands as of right now. Anyways how was everyones New Year? In Mexico they have a tradition of making wishes for each other for the new year and they openly express what they want to change for the new year so its really quite a humbling and awesome time to be in Mexico. However, the parties here are insane! Our neighbors had a party from 7pm to 7am with bumping music that vibrated all of mexico and i had a dream that night i was in an airplane ready for take off because of all the vibrations in the house it was ridiculuos. Also the day after New Year is completely silent. Everything is closed down and people are in the house all day long its allmost impossible to get a taxi and the cravings for pan had to wait one whole day before being fulfilled it was terrible lol.
Hermana Paola found the present we left on her door and thanked us for it she is still having a very rough time unfortunately so its been difficult to stay in contact with her and her family. Saturday we were able to go to the Temple in Mexico City and it was amazing! We went with a family in the ward and 2 investigators Elizabeth and her 9 yeaar old daughter Hermallony which is proununced like hermione in harry potter. They were so excited to leaarn about the temple and when they learned they could be together in the temple forever they had a super strong desire to be baptised which was awesome. They came to church for the first time in a month of meeting with them and the members in the ward kept asking us how long they had been members because they knew so much and were so responsive with the lessons in sunday school and primary that we just know they are so ready. They have a baptism date for the last week in january and then we have another family with a baptsim date of 14th of feburary so thats really exciting for us! We are really busy right now with new investigators and preparing our other investigators for baptism which is super good and i now have a lot more responsibility then i did before when i didnt understand alot. Before Hermana Quispe took care of the phone and reports and writings to president hall as well as starting and ending all lessons and now i get to do all that with her help a little bit here and there. and let me tell ya its tough work but im glad i am able to help and be trusted with those responabilities.
