Hello everyone! How was everyones week!?
MINE WAS AWESOME!!!!!
So this week we had both the ups and the downs of the week like always right the downs were saying goodbye to my companion hermana Muñoz who finished her mission and headed home to bolivia yesterday. And the ups was starting again with my new companion hermana Martinez from Panama! Also today in Mexico 15th of September is the independance day of mexico so there are lots of stuff going on here and lots of parties and POZOLE whooohooo!
We had a surprise farewell party for hna muñoz saturday night and had a nice little testimony with her and ate a ton of tasty cake. Sunday we recieved changes and transfers and i was told that i would be training a new missionary so i was excited about that, then we had the dedication of the temple of Mexico and president Ereying did the prayer for it and the spirit was super strong. Also it was amazing because our convert patty who got baptised 2 weeks ago was able to attend the dedication and its amazing to see how much she is changing to follow Christ. Then that night we said our goodbyes to hna Muñoz and although it was sad to say goodbye her adventure is now starting and continuing on in Bolivia with her family.
Monday i finished preparing everything for when the new sister was to come and went to the mission home to go pick her up. And so in the mission home we had a little devotional and pep talk and we recieved our companionships and thats when i got put with hermana Martinez from Panama who is 19 years old and has 2 years in the gospel! She is amazing and has such a desire to serve and put all she has into the work of the lord and already after one day is sharing the gospel with people and sharing her light of christ wih all! I have a feeling that more than anything i will learn more from her than she will be learning from me and i cant wait to see what this time together has in store for the Lords Vineyard.
I have a question and doubt that if you could help me answer that would help me out a ton....the other day we were with a family who were from the 7th day religion and they started saying why do you break the commandments of God if the 7th day is saturday not sunday and i know that its for the resurrection of Jesus that happened on sunday but when i explained that they still told me it was breaking a commandment and so im not sure what other explanation there is to give that could answer these peoples doubt. So if you got any ideas and are willing to share them i would be super grateful!
Guys i know its true without a doubt that this gospel and this work is true. I know the priesthood was restored through joseph smith and that through this priesthood we can recieve the plentitud and completion of the gospel of christ and that the leaders of the church and my mission are called of God. I know we have the truth and that through christ all things are possible and i share this with you all in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
Love you all so much take care of yourselfs and hope to hear from you all next week!
