Alrighty then....hows everyone doin?? Last week was dia de madres here in mexico and i didn´t have time to write about changes so i will take the time to do so now...
The fotos are of my last day or 2 with my companion hermana Sanchez. I dont have fotos with hermana Muñoz right now to send because my camera died so thats happy. Well last week i had my first change of area since being in Mexico and ill be honest i was a little sad to say goodbye to the people in Plazas, Villa de las Flores and also my companion hermana Sanchez. However, as of right now i am in an area twice as big as my first and my first area was big. I am in Vallejo (vey-ya-ho for all those gringos out there) in Lindavista, and let me tell ya i am so lost!! Haha everyday i think "oh ya we are close to the church or the house or something" and im always so off and my companion just kind of laughs at me and tells me to keep guessing. The area is so big for the ward that we have 3 sets of missionaries 4 elders and hna muñoz and I.
Hermana Muñoz is from Bolivia and will be finishing her mission in 3 changes or transfers so i am most likely her last companion, and well she is kicking my butt in gear. I thought missionary work was hard before with her its 10 times more intense and spiritual so im super excited for the time we have together because she has a ton of experience and i am learning so much from her already. My companion only has 4 weeks in the area as well so we are both relatively new to the area and so with that comes an adventure every week.....
Yesterday (funday sunday) We were walking to an appointment after our food and as we are walking it was in a part that was new for me, so im looking around enjoying the scenery while trying to keep up with my companion, and casually ask "hermana sabe donde estamos horita?" (do you know where we are right now) and she looks at me with that look that babies get when they know they did a bad thing you know the one that just says oopsies. and tells me "uhhh no hermana lo siento" So this whole time we were just walking around and finally called the lady and explained a little of where we were and she came and rescued us. The same day (yesterday) we got lost in our area 3 times.
Yes 3.
Today for pday we spent the morning in a companionship inventory and we discussed all the things we needed to work on in our personal teachings and attitudes and as a companionship and it was really awesome i learned lots and i always feel so humbled after those moments. Then we spent the other half of today renovating ( i hope thats how you spell it) our house and making it our own, because 2 weeks before i came the sister before, Hna Muñoz and Watts, had just moved in so the house was new for us both and it was really cold and dead so we livened it up with fotos and curtans and who knows what else! And it feels super warm and like people live there.
i am honestly loving where i am at right now and even though i miss the people back in plazas the ward here is so awesome and so willing to work with us that its really getting us excited to work in this mission. We have a goal as a companionship to divide the ward before hermana muñoz returns to her house and in order to do so we have to have a constant number of 300 members active, and 50 who pay tithing and as of this sunday pasado we had an assistance of 108 so we have a ton of work to do which is awesome! I feel so blessed to be in the position im in right now in life and i wouldnt change this experience and time for anything. I love you all and encourage you to find and pray for opportunities to serve and share the gospel and remember to always smile! Because the gospel is happiness!
Love you all!
