Sabe que? sometimes i feel like an alien, literally 5 minutes ago the guy who owns the internet asked me if i was from the united states and i said "yes" and then he asked me what is your native language there english or spanish?........uhhhhh french... haha for reals though that gave me a good laugh. This week has been well a normal week in the mission with trials, blessings, laughs, and moments of tears.
We are finding lots of new people to teach and its really interesting to here all their stories for example we met a guy named Elvis and he didnt believe in God until he prayed to ask if there was someone actually there and then the next day we walked in and taught him about the trinity and how God is our loving Heavenly Father and he told us he felt it was an answer to his prayers. So the second lesson we were teaching about the Book of Mormon and i was teaching him about the BOM with the pictures in the first pages and he stops and asks who is this? (referring to Joseph Smith) and we explained a little bit about who he was and then Elvis tells us "i asked because the other night after you guys left i had a dream with this man..." WOOOOW!!!!! I testify that there are seriously some people who are chosen and prepared by God like Elvis his baptism date is for the 5th of december.
Also after 3 weeks of coming to church and learning about the gospel we had to say goodbye to another investigator named Yolanda she is 56 years old and Catholic. And it was really sad to see her deny the spirit that was so strong during our lessons and reject the true teachings of Christ but her day will come. This happened last night so my companion and i felt really sad for this hermana and we had a moment where we cried because sometimes its hard to see these lives and souls rejecting Christ. In our last lesson with Yolanda we testified and taught with all we had and the spirit was so strong and powerful in her home it hurt to see her harden her heart and then to tell us "to please leave and never come back im fine in my religion."
So even though this hurt to say goodbye to Yolanda we know that some day she will have the opportunity to know the blessings and power of the gospel, and as for Elvis we are excited to help him in his progress and camino to Christ. Quick shout out to my dad who is now a US Citizen! CONGRATS DAD LOVE YOU!!!! Another month has flown by and this week my MTC district (half of the district) will be going to renew their visas so that should be interesting.
To close my email I want you all to know that Dory from "Finding Nemo" has the answers to every situation....JUST KEEP SWIMMING!!! When life gets difficult and everything is against you remember God and our savior Jesus Christ is by your side to help. Trust in Him and he will guide you to the answers and paths you need to take in life. There will always be ups and downs but i know that when we have Christ in our lives there is nothing in this world that we cant accomplish. He loves you, you are His child, trust in Him.
Love you all and write me please!
