Hellooooo everyone!
Hopefully you have all had a wonderful past week in where ever your at....Here in Mexico Vallejo we have been working crazy hours. Our president of the mission gave us permission to be out working past 9 as long as we have a member with us so we have been taking advantage of it and well lets just say we are a little tired like all the time haha.
We had an activity Thursday that was a part of the youth conference here where for one day each kid got to be a full time missionary. So i had 2 girls with me one was our new convert Carolina and the other was a girl who absolutely hates skirts and swears to us all the time that she will never serve a mission named Giselle.....So i had to teach them how to teach a little and contact and show them what its like to be a full time missionary and they were absolutely terrified of contacting people in the street. So i told them "ok all you have to do is ask to give them a card and then ill do the rest" and the first girl who tried was Giselle and she starts to ask someone and the lady in the street was so rude and totally shrugged her off and poor Giselle just turned to me and asked "is this what its like for you everyday?" and i said YES!!! She didnt contact anymore after that whoops..
So i bet your all wondering why the title right? Well.....
I had a really beautiful experience this week with an investigator named Pascual. We were with a member who told us he had a reference he wanted us to visit so saturday we went with him to find his friend Pascual and found him in the street. Anyways the member gave his friend a Book of Mormon dedicated with a folleto of the restoration and we invited him to come to church Sunday....Well when we got to church the next day he wasnt there, but then right before the sacrament he showed up...drunk. After the first hour we asked him how he felt and he said uncomfortable and so we started explaining that he would always feel like that when hes drunk and that he felt that way because it was a place of peace. anyways we made an appointment with him and later that day we were in his house teaching him for the first lesson and he started crying and told us he wanted to change and that he felt that in this religion he could get the help necessary to do so..the spirit was so strong that we set a date of baptism with him and he is super excited about it!
Its crazy how the spirit and gospel can help people change their lives for the better its a testimony that its true and im so grateful to be a witness of the tender mercies and miracles that God has in store for his children. Pray. He is there and he wants to hear from you. I love you all take care!
